International women’s day (iwd), celebrated each year on march 8, throws the spotlight on women and their rights. The theme this year is choose to challenge and the iwd organisers would like anybody and everybody to be involved in challenging gender bias and inequality, with events and campaigns. It is indeed wonderful that, in 1987, march was declared women's history month and march 8th as international women's day.
